Shortcuts
Use Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on macOS where both are shown.
Tool, selection, framing, lock and height shortcuts work from the TopView Blockout panels. Text and numeric fields keep their editing keys. In Scene, activate the TopView Blockout context to use the tool's editing controls; opening its window alone does not activate the context. Camera navigation keeps its usual controls while the right mouse button is held.
Tools and selection
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Q | Return to selection, preserving Blocks/Vertices mode. |
| 1 / 2 | Select blocks / vertices. |
| W / E / R | Move / rotate / scale. |
| P / B / C | Draw a polygon / rectangle / cylinder. |
| T | Place a Level Template. |

| K | Cut in Top View only. |
| X, or repeat P, B or C while drawing | Toggle Add/Subtract. |
| X / Z in selection tools | Align block centers or selected endpoints on that axis. Y aligns selected vertex endpoints. These actions require no active gesture or draft. |
| F | Frame the selection. Press again to frame original instances instead of modifier results. |
| F2 | Rename. |
| Delete | Delete selected objects; in Hollow vertex editing, remove a selected wall edge. |
| Esc / Enter | Cancel / confirm the current drawing or gesture. |
| Enter or , with one template selected | Edit the template's shared source in context. |
Editing
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl/Cmd + Z | Undo. Redo follows Unity's configured shortcut. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + D | Duplicate the selection. |
| Alt + drag | Duplicate and move. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + C / Ctrl/Cmd + V | Copy / paste. Top View pastes at its cursor, or its center before the pointer enters. Scene pastes at the selection center, or the Top View center if nothing is selected. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + click | Add or remove blocks from the selection. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + A | In Top View, select editable, visible blocks; in Vertices mode, select all points of selected blocks. |
| Ctrl/Cmd or Shift + click a vertex or edge | Add or remove components without starting a move. |
| Ctrl/Cmd during a drag | Temporarily invert snapping. |
| Shift during a Move drag | Constrain movement in X/Z. |
| Hold V with Move in Scene | Anchor the handle temporarily to a source vertex, then drag to snap it to another block or scene mesh vertex. |
| Shift during corner scaling | Keep proportions. |
| Alt during scaling | Scale from the selection center. |
| ← ↑ ↓ → | Move the selection in Top View or Scene; navigate rows when Hierarchy has focus. |
| Shift + ← / ↑ / ↓ / → | Multiply the movement step by 10. |
In Top View, during drawing or a move/rotate/scale gesture, type a distance, angle or scale factor and use Enter to confirm. While a distance is pending, Backspace deletes a digit; otherwise it removes the last draft point. See Editing blocks for transform and endpoint behavior.
Hierarchy, visibility and locks
| Shortcut | Action |

| Ctrl/Cmd + Alt + G | Ungroup: detach a nested folder to the root, dissolve a root folder, or move an object up one parent. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + H | Hide the selection's editor guides. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + Alt + H | Show the selection. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + L | Lock the selection. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + Alt + L | Unlock the selection. |
| L | Toggle selected blocks' individual locks. |
| Shift + H | Toggle isolation of the selection. |

| Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + click a row | Add a visible range to the selection. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + A with Hierarchy focused | Select its objects and groups, including hidden and locked entries. |
See Organizing levels and materials for inherited locks and the difference between hiding guides and disabling generated geometry.
Top View navigation
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Wheel | Zoom. While drawing a shape, adjust creation height. |
| Middle mouse, Right mouse or Space + drag | Pan. |
| Shift + Wheel | Change slice height. While drawing a shape, multiply the height step. |
| Shift + Right mouse + drag | Position and aim the Scene camera. |
| Tab | Cycle through unlocked blocks under the cursor. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + Wheel | Zoom the height ruler around Current Y, including from the active Scene View. |
| Alt + Wheel over Top View or the height ruler | Change Onion distance without moving Current Y. |
| Page Up / Page Down | Jump to the next / previous block height. |
| Wheel over the axis widget | Rotate Top View by 15°; hold Ctrl/Cmd for 1° steps. |
During a Top View block drag, Shift + Wheel moves whole blocks in Y and follows their height with the current slice.
Over the height ruler, Shift + Wheel changes only Current Y, using four height steps. The wheel inside Hierarchy scrolls its list. While a template is held, its wheel controls take priority over ruler zoom. See Top View and Scene for ruler, grid and camera controls.
Template placement
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Wheel | Rotate the held template by the configured rotation step. |
| Ctrl/Cmd + Wheel | Rotate in one-degree steps. |
| Shift + Wheel | Change placement height. |
| Esc | Cancel placement. |
